This is a small Amish greenhouse with very personable staff, they are one of Miriam’s favorite greenhouses (along with Fishers) They are only open until June so make a trip soon.

I stopped by here for the first today. They are have great assortment of vegetables and flowers. And they also had a bunch of potting soil outside.

This greenhouse has good quality plants and we like them for their houseplants. They have a nice variety of house plants and other plants.

The most frequented greenhouse due to it’s locality, but more than that, they always have the friendliest staff paired with a beautiful variety in household plants, shrubs, and bushes.

Magnolia Home Rugs

We are excited to be added a new collection of rugs to our showroom. Many of you know Joanna Gaines, who has a lovely store in Texas, and she and her husband also have Fixer Upper tv series. Joanna collaborated with Loloi Rugs to release a series of rugs. We received our first shipment of rugs a few days ago. Primarily they are the 5x8 size and have some from the Kivi, Lotus, and Brushstoke Collections. Larger sizes can be ordered. Magnolia Home rugs are available three of our loctions - King's Homestead, King's Acres, and Metal and Crate

Shiplap Wall

Matt added a shiplap wall to our new showroom space downstairs. 
Here is a quick how to and some pictures 

Matt got some 4x8 sheets (not sure what kind of wood) from Paneling Sales and they ripped them into 6" strips. He cut a few boards at 4' and 6' lengths for the first column to create a staggered look and tacked them up with a nail gun and glue to keep the boards from warping. He hot glued 2 quarters together for the horizontal spacing on the strips and 2 nickels for the vertical spacing. Matt started from the bottom of the wall and the top had a bit of a spacing when he was finished and he cut a piece of trip with a some special blade ( I'll have to double check what it was) to cover the top 3 inches or so. 

We had a bit of discussion about whether to leave the wall natural or to paint it white. =) The natural color won and although it wasn't my first choice I was tired of painting at this stage and decided it would be good for now. Maybe a winter or two and we can paint it white.

Front Porch Beginnings

King's started in the late 70's when my dad, Les King, started selling picnic tables from my grandparents front porch. This picture is the farmhouse from the King's Homestead location. My Aunt Kathy and Grusmommy Lillian took care of most of the sales while Dad was at work building sheds.
